THE CLEMENTS BROTHERS

My twin brother Charles and I have started a new duo project called The Clements Brothers. Our name could possibly evolve over time but for now we’re sticking with the classic approach. We’ve been playing together as long as I can remember so I’m excited about collaborating more closely with him and seeing what kind of creativity develops. We just started booking some shows so keep your eyes open for The Clements Brothers!

The Simon & Garfunkel Story

September 1st has come and gone bringing with it lots of change. I’ve moved out of Boston and am currently living in South Western Maine. The project that had taken up most of my time, The Lonely Heartstring Band, has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus but I’m looking forward to starting new projects and writing new music.

One new project that I’ve become involved with is an off-broadway show called, ‘The Simon and Garfunkel Story’. A former guitar teacher of mine from Berklee College of Music forwarded me a casting call, knowing that I was a big fan of Paul Simon. So I went down to NYC in mid-July and took the audition and got the part of Paul Simon. The show consists of two acts where we perform the songs of Simon and Garfunkel while narrating (in 3rd person) the story of their rise to fame and eventual breakup. I’m really excited to dig deeper into Paul Simon’s songwriting as well as bringing these songs to life on stage with a band.

Lonely Heartstring Band to Release Second Record Summer 2018

Well, it's been a long time coming.  My band released our first record, Deep Waters, 2 years ago in 2016 and we've been jonesing to get a batch of new songs out into the world.  Our second record is in its final stages of mixing and mastering so we hope to release it by either July or August.  We don't have a title yet (those can be tricky) but we're pleased with how everything is sounding.  As the January snowstorms raged outside, we holed up for eleven days at Guilford Sound in Vermont, forgetting about the daily news of political debauchery, and immersed ourselves into the recording process.  I felt lucky to get to work with two people I admire greatly, Dave Sinko as Engineer and Bridget Kearney as Producer.  They both brought a depth of knowledge and experience that breathed fresh inspiration into the recording session and the whole thing took on a life of its own.  I'm looking forward to ironing out the final details (album art, song sequence,  liner notes) and releasing this baby into the sonic universe.
