September 1st has come and gone bringing with it lots of change. I’ve moved out of Boston and am currently living in South Western Maine in the small town of West Baldwin. The project that has taken up most of my time, The Lonely Heartstring Band, has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus and I’m looking forward to starting new projects and writing new music.
One new project that I’ve become involved with is an off-broadway show called, ‘The Simon and Garfunkel Story’. A former guitar teacher of mine from Berklee College of Music forwarded me a casting call, knowing that I was a big fan of Paul Simon. So I went down to NYC in mid-July and took the audition and got the part of Paul Simon. The show consists of two acts where we perform the songs of Simon and Garfunkel while narrating (in 3rd person) the story of their rise to fame and eventual breakup. I’m really excited to dig deeper into Paul Simon’s songwriting as well as bringing these songs to life on stage with a band.
